MINT Museum of Toys
MINT Museum of Toys is a purpose-built museum founded with the intentions to display, preserve and present vintage toys and childhood memorabilia made across three defining eras, the Industrial Revolution (1760–1840), the Vintage era (1840s–1980s), and the Contemporary age (1980s–present).
As a purpose-built space, the museum was designed deliberately with the intentions to display, preserve and present these collectibles as artefacts to inspire generations to come in the art & culture, history, retail sector recognising that toys were created to be more than just a plaything, but will be important records of the past, present and future.
Created to reimagine how independent cinema can exist within a contemporary museum, MINT Lumens presents immersive experiences that connect film, heritage, history, and play. Following the successful launch of Season 1: Return to the Museum, MINT Lumens returns in May, June, and July 2026 with Season 2: Heroes for Tomorrow, a three-part cinematic journey exploring the evolution of Japanese popular culture.
Screening every Saturday and Sunday in July 2026, films including Kamen Rider ZO (1993) and Superior 8 Ultra Brothers (2008) celebrate courage, heroism, and protection. Audiences are invited to appreciate how toys become a form of art and culture through film, while guided toy tours reveal the history and heritage behind vintage tokusatsu collectibles. Interactive games offer a playful connection to the featured heroes, while exclusive 3D-printed hand puppets are available for painting and collecting. Guests can also enjoy coffee, tea, and light refreshments throughout the experience.
By bringing together cinema, toy heritage, gaming, creative retail, and food and beverage enjoyment, MINT Lumens transforms a traditional movie screening into a multi-sensory cultural journey. More than simply watching a film, audiences can explore how beloved heroes like Kamen Rider and Ultraman continue to inspire imagination across generations through history, play, and popular culture.
